Dark berry and plum aromas, supported by hints of vanilla and a touch of herbaceousness. The palate is succulent and smooth, with plush berry fruit and ripe, supporting tannins. 30% Matured in older French oak barrels for 18 months.
Red and black fruit flavours, rather than the green flavours often associated with the cultivar. The Mischa Estate Cabernet Franc has substantial body, but does not overpower the palate due to the humble use of a range of new and older French oak. The multitude of different flavours and aromas speak volumes to the quality of this wine.
A well-balanced red blend (83% Cabernet Sauvignon & 17% Shiraz) with tasting notes of mixed berries, plums, and smokey oak. The smooth tannins complement a long finish. Great on its own, but pairs nicely with most foods – even with burgers, ribs, chops, pies, pizzas and pastas. Easy-drinking, ideal for the everyday occasion.
Sour cherry and ripe cranberry with liquorice, dark chocolate, cinnamon and allspice notes are supported by delicate floral notes. A savoury textured wine with chalky tannins and a mineral mid-palate concludes in a fresh and focused finish with hints of tobacco lingering on the palate.
Deep and bright in colour, with pleasant aromas of ripe red berries. On the palate it is smooth and silky with well-balanced tannins. The finish is long and lingering.
This wine is made from a bushvine vineyard planted in the Swartland about 50 kilometres north of Dornier. In this area the soil consists of a combination of sand and coffee stone. The vineyards are not irrigated and the vines bear small bunches with small berries and wonderfully concentrated flavours.
Dornier Pinotage has a deep garnet red appearance. The aroma is intense and persistent with notes of cherry and red berries with a subtle Turkish delight or rosewater backdrop. The palate has great concentration with distinct notes of plum, bitter cherry, strawberry jam and black pepper supported by restrained spicy oak flavours on the finish.
Cabernet has grown on the granite slopes of the Simonsberg mountain for over 300 years and produces classic, elegant wines. Aromas of cassis and Moroccan mint underlined by robust tannins and a long finish.
